INVISALIGN

Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten teeth without braces. Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten teeth, without metal or wires.

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign uses 3-D computer imaging technology to depict the complete treatment plan from the initial position to the final desired position from which a series of custom-made, clear "aligners" are produced. Each "aligner" moves teeth incrementally and is worn for about two weeks, then replaced by the next in the series until the final position is achieved.

iTero Digital Impressions for Invisalign patients

We are making our patients' lives a little easier! If you need a lab-made restoration or prosthetic, expect a new, comfortable impression experience. The iTero handheld wand takes a digital, 3D image of your prepared teeth in about three to five minutes, stopping as needed. You don't have to endure a tray full of putty hardening in your mouth. The digital image is sent to our lab where a computer creates a replica of your teeth. Because the iTero digital images are so precise, you can expect a more comfortable fit for your new crown, bridge, partial, or denture.

Some of the benefits of iTero include:

  • Comfort - Conventional impressions are uncomfortable and can cause gagging. When the dentist uses iTero, the tip of the handheld wand is the only thing that will touch your teeth.

  • Accuracy - The iTero takes an exact, digital scan of your teeth, so the dental lab can create a more accurate restoration for your smile.

  • Speed - The entire process takes 3 to 5 minutes, compared to conventional impressions which can take up to 30 minutes or longer to achieve accurate results. iTero has transformed the first appointment for restorations and prosthetics, and we're happy to bring our patients this new, exciting technology.
