Jan Lopez, After studying Sociology/Psychology with a minor in Spanish at Central Connecticut State University I began my career in healthcare. I worked for several years medical field before switching to the dental field to learn a different aspect of the healthcare field. I first came to Dr. Fernandez as a patient back in 2004 and began working for Drs. Egan and Fernandez in 2006. I consider myself to be very fortunate to be a patient and an employee of Drs. Egan and Fernandez as they are not only incredibly talented dentists but also very giving people. My husband Jose and I live in East Hartford with our two children Allie and Paul and our dogs Jasper and Lily. |

Pat Murray, With more than 33 years in the dental field, Pat is glad to be working so close to home at Somerset Dental. As the hygiene coordinator, she values her experience scheduling and assisting. Pat began her career with her own orthodontist and worked in the specialty for many years.Pat creates both fiber and paper arts, taking classes and stocking her new crafts room. Kelly Mattesen, Kelly received her certificate to practice Dental Hygiene from Tunxis Community College and UCONN school of Dental Medicine in 1988. She was chosen by her instructors to be the recipient of the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler award for outstanding service in Dental Hygiene. Kelly is also Vizilite and Invisalign certified. She has practiced with Drs. Egan and Fernandez since 1991. Kelly lives in Portland with her husband Greg and daughter Amelia. Crystal Solis, I am a dental assistant her at Somerset Dental Group. I’ve been working for Drs. Egan and Fernandez since February 2010. I graduated from Porter and Chester in January of 2010 and this one of my intern sites as a student. I have always had an interest in teeth so I knew this was the career for me! When I did my internship with Drs. Egan and Fernandez, I knew there was no other place I’d rather work. The office is beautiful and always has the most current technology. At Somerset Dental I am always learning something new and my coworkers are the best people to work with.My husband Carlos and I have three children, Juan, Janelle and our newest addition Maxton. I am originally from Vernon where I graduated high school but currently live in East Windsor. I enjoy sports, my church and my family. Marnie Schulman, Hi There! I am one of the dental hygienists here at Somerset Dental Group. I have over 18 years of clinical experience and enjoy learning about the latest dental technologies. Bringing new information back to my patients and incorporating it into their treatment needs is very fulfilling to me.I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Bridgeport, Fones School of Dental Hygiene and received the HW Strong Award for academic and clinical excellence. My husband Marc and I reside here in Glastonbury with our two daughters Madison and Karah.
